About Hercules

Hercules is an open-source project, revolving around the creation of a robust massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) server package, emulating a Ragnarok Online Server. Written in C the program is very versatile and provides NPCs, warps and modifications. and is currently version controlled via Git. The project is jointly managed by a group of volunteers located around the world as well as a tremendous community providing QA and support. Hercules is a continuation of the original Athena project.

Hercules currently runs on most common Operating Systems currently available today. For a full list, please see the System Requirements.

Editing the Wiki

All users must login to the wiki using their forum account. Any member can edit the wiki, but please keep in mind that the Hercules wiki is released under the GNU Free Documentation License Version 1.2. This means that the wiki and any works put on it can be edited at will. They may also be distributed, provided all history and copylefts remain intact.
